Several new friends have started following my World Race blog!
This post is specifically a life update for new and old friends!

What is the World Race?
     The World Race is a ministry and discipleship program through Adventures in Missions. The hashtag is #11n11. There are many fun Instagram, FB, and Youtube stories! The program is set up to send 40-50 people ages 21-30 to 11 different countries in 11 months. Each squad (40-50 people) enters the country then divides into teams of 6-8 people to work with established partners by providing humanitarian aid and sharing the love of Jesus! I will be leaving June 3, 2019 for training in Georgia then returning to the states in late April 2020.

Family
     I live with my maternal grandparents in Everett, Washington. Everett is 30 minutes North of Seattle and 1.5 hours South of Canada. My dad, mom, brother, and sister also live in Everett, less than 10 minutes away! I love my family and am so grateful for the love and support of my large extended family!

Business
     I opened a music business in 2008 when I was 13! I teach over 40 piano students each week. I also plan music events, direct summer camps, and work with local teachers in their marketing and business development. I currently serve as Secretary for Snohomish County Music Teachers Association. In 2016 I graduated from Trinity Lutheran College with a BA in Music with focused studies on Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy. Piano Pedagogy is the art of piano teaching.

Singleness
     I’m single! Many sweet people have asked about my relationship status or offered to introduce me to men. One requirement when going on the World Race is to not be in a relationship. Married couples are able to go on the race together! The singleness requirement gives our hearts and minds room to focus on our work in the countries and developing greater closeness with God.

     Last year I was preparing to marry a kind and wonderful man! We were in pre-marital counseling and hoped to build a life together. But it didn’t work out for us to get married. God is close to the broken hearted and still has a good plan for each of our lives. My heart has gone through a lot of work healing and I am so grateful for my community! {HUGS}

Rotaract & Rotary
     Rotary is an international service and professional networking organization. Rotaract is the Rotary program specifically for ages 18-30. Rotaract Clubs bring people together to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service. In 2017 I helped found Snohomish County Rotaract and have served as the President, Membership Chairs, and currently serve as the United States District Rotaract Representative for our District 5050.

     Rotaract & Rotary have given me so many opportunities to meet amazing people, serve our community, and explore the world! https://www.facebook.com/RotaractSnohomishCounty/

Church
     New Life Foursquare Church in Everett is my home church! I have been part of many women’s groups, teach in the first grade Kid’s Trek Sunday School class, and am active with the Young Adult Group. My community is very intergenerational. They are my larger extended family of sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, parents, and grandparents!!! http://newlifeeverett.org/
