Hello Friends and Family!

A quick update…

I am getting water baptized tonight!

At a church celebration tonight I will go into a small pool with 2-3 of my Bible study leaders! They will ask if I accept Jesus as my Savior and Lord. “Savior” shows that I believe I have done wrongs things (sin) and need the help, hope, and a new life given through Jesus. “Lord” shows that I have surrendered control of my life to God, putting God in the rightful place of leader of my life! I still have goals and dreams but my focus is first on what God would have me do!

My answer to the question “Do you accept Jesus as my Savior and Lord?” will be “YES!!!”

Then I will go under the water, come out, and the large Church will celebrate this commitment! Water baptism is a practice of cleansing and rebirth! Jesus was baptized as an act of obedience to God before he started his ministry!   Mark 1:9-11 – At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”

I was water baptized as a child. And truly I said Yes to baptism because my little brother was getting baptized. I didn’t want him to be baptized first!

But TODAY I am refreshing my commitment to the Lord as an adult! Baptism is a public declaration of my faith and a time to celebrate this faith commitment with my family, church family, and community!

If you have questions or want to chat about my Water Baptism I am glad to speak with you!

Prayer Requests  Praying for Health in my Family: March has been a tough month with many health challenges for my family. Surgery, sickness, emergency room visit, surgery, infection, hospitalization, infection, ineffective medication, emergency room visit… My grandparents, mom, and siblings have spent a lot of time at the hospital!

Yesterday my grandma went to the emergency room. Her heart was in atrial fibrillation and had been beating irregularly for 2 weeks. After medication and a heart conversion everything is back to normal! My mom and sister also went to Urgent Care last evening with other infections.

A lot of life this month has been sitting at the hospital or helping with life at home. They are doing better today but still on the healing journey!

Financial Update:

Thank you so much for your financial support! I am close to 50% funded! I so appreciate everyone who has already donated to this trip!

Would you consider partnering with my journey in the following ways?

1. Pray for me to meet my $12,000 financial goal by the end of April. It is only $4,000 to go!

2. If you have been thinking about donating, would you please consider giving this month? If you have previously given a gift, THANK YOU! Would you please consider making another donation to help me reach my goal?

3. Would you also please pass on this email and story of my trip to someone in your circle of friends? Do you have friends, family, churches, groups, or clubs that might be interested in hearing about my trip with the World Race? If so, please feel free to forward this email to them! I am glad to share with new friends!
