Hello Friends and Family!

Car Accident:
I was in a bad car accident on July 22nd. The other driver and I walked away from the accident but both cars were totaled. God protected us! I was turning left on a winding Snohomish road and didn't see the other driver until we collided. God brought kind people to the scene to help us!

My healing process has been long. This is the first time I've had major limitations on my physical strength and mental concentration. It has also been a struggle to go through the emotional highs and lows of being in an accident.

God has been teaching me about having rest, patience, and respecting where my body is right now. Realizing I have limitations has been tough! Psalm 23 has been a kind reminder to rest in green pastures and give God's kindness permission to lead me beside quiet waters and restore my soul.

I believe the Lord is close and loves me! Even if I am frustrated with my limited energy, I am still a joy to the Lord as I worship and desire to grow in my relationship with God!

My plate holds little right now. And that is okay.

Grandma Linda's Cancer:

I was scheduled to leave on the World Race June 3, 2019. However, on May 30th my grandma was diagnosed with kidney cancer that had metastasized to her lungs. The doctors gave her one year to live, but then a new immunotherapy treatment became available. You can read about the beginnings of her journey in my previous blog post: 016 Staying in the States

God is faithful! My grandma began her immunotherapy treatment in September. So far she has had NO complications or side effects!

Below are some pictures from our family's Labor Day camping trip! We were wearing our matching Family Summer Softball shirts. Go team Royals!

World Race Trip -- October 2020:
I paused my fundraising and trip preparations back in June. Several monthly, quarterly, and anonymous donors recently donated to the World Race. Thank you!

I recently committed to the October 2020 World Race! The countries I'll be traveling to are: Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Japan, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia. More information about this route and my preparations will be coming in a future post!

Prayer Requests:
  • For my grandma's immunotherapy to continue without side effects. For her physical strength and joy to remain strong!
  • For my body to heal and strengthen. Many days I still have pain and challenges concentrating. I'm grateful for the healing that has already taken place! Please pray that I have patience while respecting my small plate of energy.

This season I am giving more time to prayer and I would love to pray with you! Do you have prayer requests? What challenge or joy is happening in your life?

Lamentations 3:22-23 Because of the Lord’s GREAT LOVE we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
