Hello!
I’m at World Race Launch in Gainesville, Georgia!
These are the final few days of training, COVID testing, and information gathering, before launching to Guatemala on January 12, 2021!
Writing blogs, taking pictures, and creating videos to share with you is part of this journey! Below is my first quick video of traveling to Launch! Please turn the volume up or listen with headphones if it is hard to hear the sound!
A squad mate, Jacken Holland www.jackenholland.theworldrace.org , showed me a new video editing program I am excited to explore for future videos!

Heading to Launch! World Race 2021
Saying Goodbye
Ecclesiasties 3:4
“a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,”
Saying goodbye to family, students, friends, and community was very emotional! My family had a busy Christmas season with my sister visiting from Colville. Weeping started while she was visiting.
Finishing packing, quickly completing taxes, and saying goodbye to piano students also brought tears. {Hugs and High Fives to piano students! I’m so proud of you!}
The past two months I’ve very carefully played piano music for a friend’s grandma who is in hospice. Weeping came with saying goodbye to her family knowing heaven will most likely be our next Hello.
Weeping came in surprising moments while seeing my family go about their normal daily tasks.
I LOVE saying YES to Jesus! I know saying YES to obeying Jesus leads to blessings, safety, and growth!
Saying YES to the World Race has been a mixture of joy and tears. I’m grateful for the assurance that God sees me and is with me regardless of my emotional state. God’s love doesn’t change! I am not alone in the grief, mourning, weeping, joy, and dancing!
Laughing, skipping, and dancing have happened in the last two days with my new squad and team! I am excited for this journey!
Tribute Video Invitation!
My family is creating a video montage (or “Tribute”) for me to watch as an encouragement while traveling. You are invited to share a video message!
