023 Travel Update

Hello Family and Friends! 

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving 

{We are grateful for warm blankets and outdoor visits!}

New Travel Update! January 7, 2021 I will be heading to Georgia to meet with my squad of ~30 people. We have been cleared to travel to our first country, Guatemala! Future border entry is hopeful to Spain, Kazakhstan, India, Thailand, and Cambodia. Next steps are uncertain, but God knows when and where we will go!

The World Race is an 11 month community living, Christian mission, and humanitarian work trip. I will be traveling into the countries with a Squad of ~30 people. Many COVID precautions are in place for our squad to begin traveling. I return to the states in late November 2021 🙂 One year from today I should be home!

Team: Mosaic Daughters 

I am on a team with these 5 ladies! Jenn, Elizabeth (Wags), Madison, Jenna, Paula, and I will be living and traveling within the country together 🙂 I-Squad, ~30 people, will enter Guatemala together then teams may divide and travel to various areas of the country.   

At training camp we chose the team name Mosaic Daughters.

Mosaic: Holy Spirit is piecing our different experiences and personalities together as a beautiful mosaic to show others the community, hope, peace, and love of God!

Daughters: A reminder that we are united as sisters and daughters of God!

• Coming to the Lord in Gratitude and choosing to live in the Light are helping restore some of my physical and emotional energy! 

Prayer Requests

• Continual wisdom for the World Race leadership! The recent travel update included new COVID testing measures and information on how we can safely travel and support local communities. 
• Physical healing and strengthening! The last 6 weeks, since returning from training camp, my body has had deep exhaustion and a bothersome eye lid infection. Several days it has been a challenge to complete the necessary activities for the day. I believe the Lord is my strength and song! The last couple days I have had more energy! 
• Giving anxieties and grief to God. Several friends and family members are going through struggles related to COVID, isolation, cancer, grandparents in hospice, a knee injury, and different life challenges. I’m grateful to have empathy and availability to be with them! Now Holy Spirit is reminding me to have a cyclical process. Releasing my sadness to God, refilling with comfort and peace, remaining present even during challenges.
