Hello Friends and Family!

I recently arrived in Costa Rica and will be here for two months! My squad of 30 people is partnering with a ministry called Ocean’s Edge! They have a variety of ministry opportunities. We have orientation tomorrow and I am excited to find out how I will be serving and sharing God’s love with people! {For me, they mentioned hosting ballet classes, business conferences, and women’s fitness or Jiu Jitsu! So cool!}

{Welcome sign at the airport! 12:30 AM Landing!}

We are in Jaco, Costa Rica! Jaco has AMAZING waves and surfing! People from all over the world come to Jaco for vacation, surfing, and partying. We get to share Jesus with people from Germany, Sweden, Brazil, Canada, and the States then they can share Jesus back home in their countries!

Many men, women, and children are caught in a web of drugs, violence, and prostitution.

Would you please join me in praying for the vacationers here in Jaco, people stuck in dangerous and harmful situations, and the Costa Ricans and community that live here full time. Please pray for my squad of 30 people to have supernatural protection, unity, and sensitivity to how Holy Spirit is directing us to speak and act. We have been praying over the city. God is already moving mightily and we get to continue partnering with local organizations in Costa Rica!

{Tired from traveling all night, but filling up on encouragement and loving people at Horizon Church! Horizon Church is one of our ministry sites!}

I have more updates, stories, and videos from Guatemala that I will be sharing with you! Internet is not as accessible in Costa Rica, but I am excited to share about Beauty for Ashes and our final ministry experiences!

Thank you for your prayers and financial gifts. Your prayers are powerful and I have felt God’s protection and direction!

Jaco, Costa Rica is more expensive with additional personal expenses and costs similar to the states. We will be visiting internet cafe’s a few times each week, lathering up on sunscreen, laundry, and purchasing additional water when we are out in the community. This week two gifts came from a sweet friend through Venmo and another family friend saw my mom at a doctor’s office. God provides even before I ask or realize I have a need! If after praying you would like to give towards my personal expenses, the easiest way would be through PayPal, Venmo, or a check to my parent’s home. Thank you!

  2. Hi
    So cool you are in Costa Rica. And will surely be praying for safety and for God’s Divine intervention for you and all your group. Bob and I visited there a few years back and the wildlife there is amazing. Have some fun and some great encounters!

  3. Hi Rachel,
    I supposed a popular tourist place like Coast Rica would be fairly safe; Yikes,not so.
    Praying for the team & your guardian angels to be extra vigilant. Ballet & Ju Jit Su
    sound like practical ways to integrate ministry. Maybe you can learn some Spanish dancing as well? Thank you for the opportunity to work with PMA. The Wunderkeys method brings
